THESE ARE HOT!!!!
DEFINITELY a CLASSIC… TRY IT!!
Since being introduced to premium bourbon this year I’ve been searching for the perfect signature cocktail.
I believe I’ve found it in the Old Fashioned.
Hey, you know me… I love the classics.
My quest this summer is to find the best Old Fashioned in the city. I believe the journey will begin this weekend.
Wish me luck.
But, if your local bartender can’t make one, here’s how you make a decent Old Fashioned at home:
2 dashes aromatic bitters
1/2 tsp sugar dissolved with water and bitters
2 oz premium bourbon
Combine the sugar, bitters and water in an Old Fashioned glass. Muddle well, add premium bourbon and stir.
Add a twist of lemon peel and ice cubes.
check the Camo shoes….
Remember back back in the day we had work clothes and then we had play clothes…. It was a distinctive difference based on color, pant lengths, fabric choices, etc… but we’ve come a long way baby..
Seersucker in the past was thought to be appropriate ONLY as casual Golf and Country Club attire…. seen typicaly in blue & white.. nowmcomes in an array of colors from blue, green, yellow, brown, orange.. paired with madras or linen (fabrics) this once casual look has been brought into a level of formality and acceptability( is that even a word) in the office or workplace..
Speaking of color.. remember back back back in the day (actually just like the last 2 years) when men were not ALLOWED to wear ANY color at work accept Navy Blue, Charcoal Grey, Brown, and Beige.. unless of course it was as shirt (in pink, blue, yellow and SOMETMES lavender) paired with these colors… again, my how times have changed…
If you check the streets you’ll see there are no boundaries to whats acceptable and what can be done with fashion as long as you infuse an element of style. Check the theme by pairing the bright daring color (pants) with a darker or muted color(jacket)… accessorize with a light colored shirt and be creative with the tie..make it your own…
So what I was trying to convey earlier this week was my absolute love for timepieces… (Watches for those of you who don’t know 🙂 …..
Atring with something pretty basic like a NIXON you could spend anywhere from 125$ to upwrads of 400$… this great for an everyday timepiece… making folks take a second look at you even in jeans….
http://hamiltonwatch.com Then of course for the more flash-in-the-pants kind of guy there is the Hamilton Wind X. Swiss made and worn all throughout the states this sexy chrono is a must-have (if you can afford it) strating at about $350 and moving upwards to $800+. Treat yourself to a better quality timepiece as yoou grow in you fashion tatse.. I promise you WONT see yourself ‘coming and going’..
Now beign me … and being a style blog I couldn’t move on without an accessory (or two).. the perfect weekender is the perfect accent to an amazing watch. So be on the lookout for the perfect attache to accompany your timepiece..
http://diesel.com Canvas, Canvas & Leather, Nylon (SOME Nylon) any of these materiela can be rocked as long as you have a killer timepiece.. so don’t get caught up in the brand (name) although the more obscure the better… give guys something to covet.. without any clue where to go….
Now if and when your really serious and you feel like wearin’ them out… w/o the guys even understanding what your hittin them with.. then move onup to CHOPARD. These exquisit timepieces (absolute hotness for the regular folks) start at around $5175 and goes and goes and goes ( feel free to continue as long as you like)… I stopped at about $28000.. and yes thats US Dollars guys!!!
Finally a timepiece that we may not all be aware exists but certainly will not forget after seeing it here …This luxury designer has been making timepieces for 10+ years and doing damn fine job at it……
So remember its not just about the clothes you wear (although they DO make a hellof a start).. but the exqusit timepiece that you use to accompany that swanky outfit!!
